I have been a Chemistry teacher for 14 years across 2 large secondary schools, an
international school in Abu Dhabi, a sixth form college and a therapeutic learning centre. I
have experience teaching AQA GCSE sciences, OCR A Level Chemistry, Edexcel A Level
Chemistry and AQA A Level Chemistry. My last full time role in a secondary school involved
working as a KS5 academic lead, and I loved mentoring A Level students through their
studies, teaching them habits for success that apply to all areas of their studies and life. I
now work part time so that I can be more present with my 2 year old son, and explore
options for focusing more on tutoring and working for exam boards.

Alongside teaching, I have worked with the Edexcel exam board for almost a decade as an
examiner, and now lead teams of examiners through the marking process during the
summer. This has been on both UK and international papers for A Level and GCSE.
Recently I was appointed a credible specialist for the sciences, acting as a point of contact
for schools to offer advice and training for the delivery of their qualifications. I also helped
build an online A Level course, working as one of a team of authors who designed bespoke
interactive lessons that would suit an online platform.
